I commissioned Mainfurl to install the MLS in our boom.

In 2018, we decided to switch to a furling boom and equipped it with a North 3Di sail so that we would no longer need to change the mainsail before every regatta.

Since we are sailing most of the time short handed (just my wife and me) or even single handed (just me) we are very happy with the furling system. It has taken us some time to get the right boom angle and other settings, but since then the systems works perfectly and works especially safe. Also in rough conditions, since you can stay safely in the cockpit. I prefer to do the hoisting and furling procedures just by myself in a step-by-step approach to avoid mistakes. That works perfectly: Even reefing in a dark night appeared not to be a problem as I experienced during one of our last deliveries.

A special compliment to the Mainfurl team for their after sales support. They installed the MLS system in 2025 when we were in Palma during the winter season end they have trained us on the spot to work with it.
